Bedford Republicans Annual Breakfast - Speaker Kelly Ayotte
The Bedford Republican Committee held its annual fundraising breakfast at the Manchester Country Club, Monday, September 28th. 90 attendees heard 10 speakers during the course of the one and a half hour breakfast.
Mike Izbecki, chairman of the Bedford Town Coucil welcomed everyone, and Ray Chadwick, chairman of the BRC, introduced the speakers. Bob Bestani, Frank Guinta and Peter Bearse spoke to their candidacies for District 1 U.S. House of Representatives. Jack Kimball put in his bid to run for governor of New Hampshire, and Senator Sheila Roberge spoke of the great need to get a meaningful Republican voice back in the statehouse.
Executive Councillor Ray Wieczorek introduced Ted Gatsas who will be running for mayor of Manchester. After Joan Miller, vice chairman of the BRC, read a letter from retiring U.S. senator Judd Gregg, Kelly Ayotte and Ovide Lamontagne gave their credentials for election to to that post. It was an interesting, informative morning, giving Bedford Republicans and their friends an opportunity to evaluate candidates before next fall’s primaries.
